For this project, I had to redesign a website for a local business. My chosen site was Lucky Star sushi restaurant.
To start this redesign, I did an in-depth study of the current website, the company’s core values, and other successful sushi restaurant websites.

The Before
Desk Research
After conducting interviews with 5 individuals that fit the targeted audience, I compiled the following desk research:
5/5 interviewees prioritized ease of usability over design.
3/5 interviewees judged the restaurant based on the website's design.
3/5 interviewees stated they prefer a simple website design.
Once I compiled the qualitative data from the interviews, I was able to start designing with our user in mind every step of the way.
